Privacy Policy

Holobrook is a free, browser-based game. We keep data collection to a minimum and the game itself runs locally in your browser. This page explains what is collected and why.
Your collection lives in your browser
Holobrook has no accounts and no login. The packs you open, the cards in your binder, your dust, level, and settings are all stored in your own browser using local storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to or stored on our servers, unless you use one of the optional features below.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages are popular, so we can improve the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed, and a truncated IP address. We do not use it to identify you personally. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and Google's own privacy policy explains how they handle this data.
The community pulls board (optional)
Sharing your best pulls to the public board is turned off by default. If you turn it on, we receive the card you pulled and the trainer nickname you chose so the board can show it. To prevent spam and abuse we store a one-way hashed version of your IP address (not your real IP) and rate-limit submissions. You can turn sharing off at any time in Settings.
Cross-device sync (optional)
If you use the Sync feature, a snapshot of your collection is saved on our server and tied to a sync code that you choose. Anyone with that code can restore the snapshot, so keep it private. Don't use Sync if you don't want a copy of your collection stored on our server.
Contact form
If you message us through the About page, we store your message, and your name and email if you provide them, so we can read and reply. We don't use these details for anything else.
Children
Holobrook is intended for a general audience. The game requires no account and no personal information to play. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the contact form, contact us and we will delete it.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, and we don't show third-party advertising networks. The only tracking is the analytics described above.
